The flying school is a aviation business entreprise and its plane must be maintain exclusively at the Gatineau airport by a technician certified by Transport Canada.
Each 50 flying hours, the aircraft must undergo a full inspection to ensure its commercial airworthiness. The maintenance standards used are those of the commercial aviation industry.
The company Chapman Aviation LTD at Arnprior (CNP3) is in charge for the commercial maintenance of the school's Cessna 150.
Private lessons are the best option to learn at your own pace, because all the students have very different learning skills. The ground school in classroom with other people, offered by the competition, is 20 hours more longer to finish, for worse results at the end.

The average duration of a course is 2 hours for a minimum of 45 hours total time. All the school supplies are available on site.

Ultralight aircraft advices:
knowledges (theory and practice) are equivalent to get an ultralight aircraft permit with passenger-carrying rating or to get a recreational pilot permit.
Indeed, a recreational pilot permit gives you the privileges of fyling an ultralight advanced type aircraft and carrying a passenger

The recreational pilot permit takes less time to obtain the private pilot license but have some limitations. Once you have your private pilot license, you can get a night rating, an instruments rating, a seaplane rating, or a VOTT (VFR over-the-top) rating.
However, the recreational pilot permit only allows you to get a seaplane rating as an additional qualification.

Commerial pilot with 25 years of flying experience and more than 10 years of teaching, he has accumulated more than 6000 hours of flight and 5500 hours flight instruction time flying experience.

Class 1 flight instructor (the highest qualification in industry) the oldest and the most qualified flight instructor at Gatineau airport, he provides practical and theoretical training as well as the management of his school. He has a university degree and he also graduate in aeronautical maintenance.
Also glider pilot and ultra-light pilot, he now shares his experience with his students from valuable advice given to him by his former passed instructors, most of whom were former military pilots.
